The City of Bloomington Township Assessor's Office is committed to making this site usable by everyone in our community, including people with disabilities. We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we do

• Keyboard-navigable forms, search, and tables with visible focus rings.
• Single H1 per page, semantic landmarks (header, main, nav, footer), and ARIA labels on interactive controls.
• Color combinations meeting at least 4.5:1 contrast for body text.
• "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element of every page.
• Tables marked up with proper <th scope> headers for assistive technology.
• All images and icons either have meaningful alt text or are explicitly marked decorative.
• Respects the system Reduce Motion preference — animations are minimal and skippable.
